Nosturi FAQ -Frequently Asked Questions
When browsing the gig calendar, the mysterious markings can be interpreted as follows:
- S - = no age limit
- K-18 = age limit 18
- - S - /K18 = no age limit/K18 for the bar
- Although our gigs rarely have age restrictions, we recommend being at least mentally 15 years of age.
2. –S--/K18 on advance tickets
Advance tickets are marked with either –S—or K18 depending on the age of the person buying the ticket. If an under-aged person has a ticket marked K-18, it does not allow them entry to the bar area without at valid I.D. The opposite applies as well; if a person over the age of 18 has been accidentally given a ticket marked –S-, he or she is still welcome at the bar upon producing a valid I.D.
The percentage of –S- and K-18 tickets available in advance are indicative of the expected audience divide. This helps the folks at Nosturi to provide both a comfortable size bar area for the older folk and a good size playground for the younger ones.
3. Performance times on gig nights
During weeknights (Monday – Thursday & Sunday), doors open at 7pm and the main act will be on stage at 9pm, or by 9.30pm at the latest. During weekends (Friday & Saturday), doors open at 9pm and the main act will be on stage by 11pm, or by 11.30pm at the latest.
The number of supporting acts does affect the timing, so you’re best off checking the website (vanha.elmu.fi) for the evening’s schedule, which we will post at our earliest convenience, some couple of days before the gig.
4. Lost and Found
If you’ve been unfortunate enough to lose something, send us a mail: email@example.com to see if we’ve managed to recover your belongings. Pick up on weekdays between 10am and 4pm. Valuables (driving licenses, passports, mobile phones, keys, etc.) will be taken to a Found Property Office, from which you can inquire after lost property. Clothes found at the venue that are not picked from Nosturi within 3 months will be donated to charity.
5. Tickets at the door
The entire ticket quota for gigs will be available for purchase in advance. Should tickets still be available on the night, they will be sold at the door. If tickets sell out before the event, they will not be available at the door. You can call our Office (+358 9 681 1880) or send us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) to ask about the situation on the night of the event.
Whether taking pictures is allowed or not, depends on the band. Usually it is okay to take pictures with mobile phone cameras and your standard digital camera. Professional SLR cameras and any manner of video recording are never allowed.
Representatives of the media can apply for accreditation for gigs through promoters/record companies. In unclear circumstances drop a line to email@example.com
8. Wheelchair access
Nosturi is accessible by wheelchair. By letting us know in advance (calling on the day), we’ll arrange for our doorman to let you in 15 minutes before doors open, so that a spot with a good view can be secured. The same applies for individuals without wheelchairs, with a condition impeding movement. You’re welcome to bring your chauffeur with you.
